The annual Mother’s Day plant sale at the Polk County fairgrounds has been the main fundraiser for Polk County Master Gardeners. Covid-19 has forced the cancellation of this sale for both years 2020 and 2021. This leaves the chapter with no source of funding for the major undertakings of the organization which includes:
The 7 acre demonstration plots at Inspiration Garden in Independence, OR
Funding of scholarships for horticulture students at Chemeketa Community College
Support for the Dallas Youth Garden and the historic Brunk House
Expenses for raising fruits and vegetables donated to Food Banks
Various internet based instructional resources for the community
You may use a credit card to make a donation supporting our chapter’s ongoing mission and community outreach during the restrictions of the pandemic by selecting a donation amount that will be charged to a credit card and directly deposited to the chapter’s account.
